Bam Adebayo’s late dunk lifts the Heat over the Hawks, 113-109 | NBA

MIAMI (AP) — Bam Adebayo started the game with 27 seconds left and scored 27 points in the Miami Heat’s 113-109 comeback win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.

Jimmy Butler added 20 points, Kyle Lowry finished with 16 points and Tyler Herro had 15 for the Heat. They ended with a 10-2 run.

Danilo Galinari’s 3-point attempt for Atlanta with nine seconds left bounced off the rim and Herro’s two free throws secured the win.

It was the first of two meaningless games, at least in terms of rankings, for Miami to end the regular season. The Heat were seeded at No. 1 in the Eastern Conference playoffs on Thursday and know they will play Game 1 of a first-round series on April 17 at home to either Cleveland, Brooklyn, Charlotte or Atlanta, who are eliminated in a tie for ninth place with Charlotte.

Trae Young scored 35 points for Atlanta. Bogdan Bogdanovic added 25 points and Clint Capela had 17 points and 14 rebounds. Young scored Atlanta’s last 12 points of the second quarter to lead 61-56 at halftime.
