With a new baseball season underway, perhaps Diamond supporters should take note of book signings two later this month announcing the release of 64 Cardinals.
The book, which officially hit shelves Friday, was written by a baseball historian Robert Tiemann and experienced sports reporter Ron Jacober.
The pen pals will be at the Schlafly branch of the St. Louis Library on April 26 at 6:00 p.m.; and then May 17 at 7 p.m. at Grant’s View County Library.
The 1964 Cardinals, led by Bob Gibson and Lou Brock, beat the New York Yankees in the World Series to bring the championship back to our beautiful city for the first time in 18 years.
